U-PLUS Industry Insurance
U-PLUS Industry Insurance (U-PLUS) is a specifically tailored insurance product purchased by building and construction industry employers for their employees.
U-PLUS was established over 10 years ago under the name of CTAS. It's aim was to provide building and construction industry workers 24 hours income protection insurance for injuries resulting from an accident as well as, in New South Wales, Workers Compensation Top-Up Insurance which complimented awards made under the Workers Compensation Act.
Put simply, U-PLUS offers construction industry workers the comfort of knowing they no longer need to rely solely on Workcover benefits at a time when injury can affect the family income stream.
U-PLUS does this by complimenting and improving upon the insurance cover members receive through workers compensations in the following ways:
- U-PLUS Insurance cover is in place 24 hours per day 7 days per week, both within and outside of the workplace
- U-PLUS Insurance, covers members not only in the workplace by anywhere in the world
- U-PLUS adds to and improves those benefits paid by workers compensation insurance
